Light of Consciousness magazine had this to say:

"Gateway to Sanskrit is a visually / aurally friendly course in fourteen chapters that will teach you the Sanskrit alphabet, word structure and pronunciations with surprising ease. Colorful three-dimensional letters are displayed against soothing nature photographs ... The beauty is that there is no memorization or grammar; the program works with the mind's natural abilities using only visuals and pronunciations. Following the recommended chapter-a-day of five to ten minutes each, by the fourteenth chapter you will have learned the entire Sanskrit alphabet and be reciting shlokas (quotations) from the scriptures!"

Here are some reactions from people who have tried it:

"What I appreciate about your video, among other things, is the practice of relating directly to the Devanagari, without transliteration, as a way to transcend the limitations of my monolingualism/English. The way you have the video set up makes learning the Devanagari seem "natural" and easy, just like the beautiful nature scenes in the background."
-- Dianne Kanondaga,
Arjuna Movement Arts

"I have ordered from you before, and I have always been very happy with both the service and of course the product!"
--
Denise Covarrubias

"I got "Gateway to Sanskrit" and watched it, during my lunch break, all the way through Chapter 5 so far. I LOVE what you've done here. This is fabulous! My first time through and I'm reading some of the words before I actually hear what they are! And recognizing numbers too! It is so beautiful and such fun. I love having the beautiful pictures of nature in the background, and the uncluttered look of each new sound/letter. I love the children's drawings and the way you use the sutras to help teach the language. It is all so beautiful. The voice is clear and very gentle and supportive and the pacing is just right.
I have studied Sanskrit, taken weekend trainings and studied with a tape set but felt really stuck and still the only thing I could recognize was OM. But now, after just part way through, I am reading devanagari script and loving it. You have re-inspired me in my studies. I am sure that after using your DVD I will be able to return to the Sanskrit materials I already have and get so much more from them. You are a true teacher."
-- Jenifer Ebel,
Founder and Director of 'The Yoga Studio', Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA, and yogi for over 30 years.

"I was so excited about the tape. Within the first few seconds I was already learning. It was amazing!"
--Ann Russ Desautels, Social Worker

"I initially was anxious that its content would be overly-esoteric, or even 'over my head' -- but as I got 'into' it, I realized what a wondrous boon it is to my continuing forays into N. Indian and Tibetan Buddhism... and I learned anybody can do this."
-- Scott Key

"It is such an easy process! It goes back to the way that kids remember... Even after just one chapter I was already seeing Sanskrit writing a new way, with definite parts. It didn't look like Chinese anymore."
-- Fanny Santiago Saavedra,
PhD Candidate in Alternative Healing

"Thank you for your great video. I am watching it regularly. It is so well done -- a pleasure to see the symbols -- and the scenes are so lovely and well done in the background. I find that it is opening my intuition greatly. Each symbol is so beautifully designed and so rich. "
-- Carmen R. Delano

"I watched your video. It was really great. I feel like I can learn Sanskrit. It was so beautiful, well done and easy. Good job!"
-- Nikki Harmony, Mother and Artist

"It's amazing how many Sanskrit words are like an English word!"
-- Jerry Beck II, Business Owner

Note: Many people pronouce the hatha in hatha yoga incorectly. In order to pronounce it more correctly, try saying the word "hottie," only touch the tip of your tongue farther back, an inch behind your teeth when you get to the 'th' sound. Change the 'e' sound at the end to an 'ah' sound.
